The project will, through a feasibility study, examine the conditions for a citizen-driven energy community in the residential area of Skintebo.

The starting point is existing organizations such as joint property associations and housing cooperatives (BRFs), and the possibility of further developing these into entities that jointly own and share energy resources within the area.

The feasibility study will include a techno-economic assessment of energy production, storage, sharing, and optimization, as well as organizational models, local anchoring and engagement, and business and financing models.

In addition to the implementation plan itself, the objectives include the description of “typical cases” that can guide replication, increased knowledge of citizen-driven processes in relation to local smart energy systems, and enhanced understanding of the conditions for resident engagement in similar areas.

The focus is on creating opportunities for long-term management through a reasonable workload and a structured distribution of responsibilities among members of the local community.
