Project Åseberget in Kungälv explores how future residential areas can become more sustainable through energy sharing. Instead of each property having its own technical utilities, we are investigating the possibility of a shared energy solution for the entire area – such as solar energy and thermal storage. The challenge lies in calculating the financial, technical, and operational aspects already at the detailed planning stage.

By comparing traditional solutions with a shared energy system, we aim to find the most resource-efficient way to build 2,000 new homes. The result will be a pilot project demonstrating how to plan more intelligently from the outset – with reduced environmental impact, lower costs, and more efficient shared use of energy.
