This project explores the role of Battery Energy Storage Systems and Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure in buildings for flexible energy communities in Sweden. We will address technical, economic, social, and regulatory challenges through a synthesis study, combining systematic literature review with innovative data-driven text mining.

The study will analyze information from various literature sources to provide a holistic view of the current state of knowledge and identify critical gaps. Outcomes include a detailed synthesis report, a replicable data-driven literature research methodology, identification of knowledge gaps, and concrete recommendations.

The project aims to guide future research and support Sweden’s transition to a more sustainable and flexible energy system.
